3PARIS, France, October 12, 2026 — Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (DFLZM), through its passenger vehicle brand FORTHING, officially unveiled its all-new TK series at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Under the theme “FOR THINGS THAT MATTER,” the launch marks a significant step in the company's global new energy vehicle expansion, with Europe serving as the starting point for the series' international rollout.

Following its European debut, the TK series is scheduled to enter markets across the Middle East, Africa, South America and Southeast Asia, bringing new electrified mobility options to a broader range of international customers.1

Advancing Global Mobility Through Technology and Localization

At the launch event, Liu Xiaoping, Party Secretary of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, highlighted Europe's longstanding influence on the global automotive industry and the transformative impact of electrification and intelligent technologies.

He emphasized that technology ultimately needs to serve people by delivering safer, more reassuring and more comfortable mobility experiences.

Since launching its “Ride the Wind, Dual Power” strategy in June 2025, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor has been advancing four key areas: product development, localization, distribution networks and customer service. Guided by the principle of “Developed in China, for the World,” the company is adapting its products and services to the specific regulations, infrastructure and consumer preferences of different markets.

Its continued investment in Europe reflects an approach that goes beyond exporting vehicles. By using Europe's demanding market standards as a benchmark, the company aims to strengthen its products, refine its services and build a more sustainable foundation for global growth.2

The TK Series: Technology, Kinetic Innovation and Versatile Mobility

According to Li Songyuan, Overseas Product Director at Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, “T” stands for Technology, while “K” represents Kinetic innovation. Together, the letters express the series' focus on advanced technology, continuous innovation and ongoing product development.

The TK series is designed to deliver reliable, intelligent and engaging mobility experiences across a wide range of everyday driving scenarios.

The first two models, the TK5 and TK7, address different customer needs. The TK5 is tailored to younger urban drivers seeking a stylish and technology-focused SUV, while the TK7 is designed for families who need flexible seating, generous space and long-distance capability. 3

TK5: Designed for Urban Life, Engineered for Flexibility

The TK5 combines sporty styling with a smart, comfort-oriented cabin, appealing to a new generation of urban consumers.

To accommodate different driving habits and charging infrastructure across international markets, the model will be offered in both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid versions.

The all-electric version features an 800V high-voltage fast-charging system, designed to improve charging convenience and help reduce range-related concerns. A dedicated battery safety system, referred to as the Armor Battery Safety System, further underlines the model's focus on safety and reliability.

The TK5 has also completed EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA), according to the company, supporting its positioning as a versatile SUV developed for international markets. 4

TK7: Space, Range and Flexibility for the Whole Family

Designed with global families in mind, the TK7 prioritizes spaciousness, practicality and versatility.

Its flexible five- to eight-seat configurations and 37 storage compartments are intended to accommodate passengers and luggage across a wide range of family activities, from daily commuting to extended road trips.

The vehicle also features a 6.6 kW external power supply function, opening up additional possibilities for outdoor activities and camping.

According to the manufacturer, the TK7 offers a driving range of up to 500 km in all-electric mode and a combined range of up to 1,100 km in hybrid mode. These figures are intended to support both everyday urban driving and longer journeys.

By combining flexible seating, extended range and multifunctional capability, the TK7 aims to make family mobility more convenient and comfortable. 5

V9 PHEV Camping Edition Expands the Possibilities of MPV Travel

Alongside the TK series, FORTHING also presented the V9 PHEV Camping Edition, demonstrating how an MPV can serve purposes beyond business transportation and conventional family travel.

The camping-oriented configuration features a pop-up roof sleeping area, a convertible large bed and a side awning. These additions extend the vehicle's potential use to outdoor recreation, overnight stays and mobile leisure.

The display reflects the company's broader approach to vehicle development: creating products that respond to changing lifestyles and increasingly diverse mobility needs.

Showcasing Core New Energy Technologies

The exhibition also featured a dedicated technology area displaying key powertrain components, including an engine, hybrid transmission, hybrid battery pack and drive motor.

By presenting these components alongside its vehicles, FORTHING offered visitors a closer look at the technologies underpinning its new energy vehicle development.

The display highlighted the company's efforts to build capabilities across electrified powertrains and demonstrate the engineering foundations behind its international product portfolio. 6

Strengthening a Global Sales and Service Network

The TK series launch comes as Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor continues to expand its international operations under its four-pillar development strategy.

The company currently operates nine KD assembly plants across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Through a combination of overseas Chinese-invested projects, cooperation with domestic business partners and locally based distributors, it is continuing to develop its international sales and service network.

According to the company, its network now includes more than 300 outlets covering over 120 countries and regions, with the average service radius for global customers reduced to approximately 103 km.

This expanding infrastructure is intended to strengthen the entire customer journey, from product presentation and test drives to vehicle delivery and after-sales support. Greater localization is also expected to help the company respond more effectively to regional market requirements and customer expectations.

From Vehicle Exports to a Broader Global Ecosystem

From its first appearance at the IAA Mobility show in Munich in 2023 to its participation in the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor has continued to establish its presence at major international automotive exhibitions.

Over this period, the company's international strategy has evolved beyond vehicle exports toward a broader model of global development encompassing products, distribution, service and local partnerships.

The company's approach places increasing emphasis on understanding regional customer needs, meeting applicable regulatory requirements and building the local capabilities needed to support long-term growth.

With the TK5 and TK7 making their international debut in Paris, FORTHING is taking another step toward expanding its presence in the global new energy vehicle market.

Looking ahead, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor plans to continue improving its products and services, bringing Chinese automotive innovation and electrified mobility solutions to more customers and families around the world.
