In terms of exterior design, the Dongfeng Fengshen SKY EV01 presents a minimalist yet electrifying style. The integrated waterfall-style front fascia is full and rounded, complemented by "digital blade" style air curtains, giving the front a more three-dimensional visual effect. Several raised lines adorn the hood, and the "gravity digital" LED headlights on both sides further enhance its sporty appeal.

From the side, the Dongfeng Fengshen SKY EV01 showcases a layered body shape with abundant horizontal lines. The B and C pillars are painted black, creating a floating roof effect, while a thin silver trim strip is inlaid along the upper edge of the window frame, highlighting a certain level of refinement. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4670mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1613mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2775mm.

In terms of details, the new car features a hidden door handle design with functions such as winter ice breaking, collision extension, and forced retraction in car wash mode, effectively reducing wind resistance while enhancing the vehicle's technological feel. The blacked-out 18-inch low rolling resistance tomahawk-style wheels are a distinctive feature of electric vehicles, and the tires are from Wanli's HARMONIC series, size 225/60 R18, emphasizing low noise and low rolling resistance.

Inside the car, the cabin, inspired by the "vast universe" and "starship," features a two-tone design that is simple yet sophisticated, and technologically advanced. The center console has almost no physical buttons; smooth horizontal lines create a three-dimensional effect. Chrome accents on the air vents add a touch of luxury to the interior.

The center console features a 13.2-inch "waterfall-style" touchscreen, which, with the support of the Windlink X2.0 intelligent vehicle system, greatly optimizes the convenience and smoothness of touch operation. Without connecting their phones, users can control over 80% of commonly used functions using local data, including navigation, local voice control, and Bluetooth music, and it supports OTA lifetime free system upgrades. However, the model we test drove was the base model, and you can see a relatively wide black bezel around the center console screen, which looks somewhat out of place.

Furthermore, the new car's intelligent interaction functions are also very powerful. The official statement claims that the AI ​​voice recognition rate is as high as 97%, and it supports 6 common modes. From actual experience, the voice command response speed is very fast, which will help users enjoy the convenience of hands-free operation.

It's not hard to see that the Dongfeng Fengshen SKY EV01 primarily targets the younger generation of consumers who have grown up with electronic products. For older consumers, the lack of physical buttons may compromise the user experience and require some adjustment.

The Dongfeng Fengshen SKY EV01 features "Digital Shadow" sports seats with a 135° adjustable backrest. The seats are well-padded and supportive, with the backrests upholstered in premium leather for comfort. Perforated and embroidered details ensure breathability while adding a touch of refinement. Higher-spec models also feature 6-way power adjustment for the driver's seat, enhancing convenience.

Regarding passenger space, the official figures state 988mm of headroom, 900mm of legroom, and 120mm of knee room. In practical experience, a 178cm tall person had about a fist's worth of headroom after adjusting the driver's seat to a comfortable position. With the front seat position unchanged, the person in the rear had about three fingers' worth of headroom and more than two fists' worth of legroom. Furthermore, thanks to the rear seat width of up to 1450mm and the completely flat floor design, even on long journeys, three passengers in the rear won't feel cramped.

In terms of space, there are over 15 storage compartments, including the glove box, center armrest box, the passage below the central display screen, and door panel storage compartments, meeting the storage needs of passengers and drivers for their belongings. In terms of power, the Dongfeng Fengshen SKY EV01 uses a single-motor, two-wheel-drive system, offering two power versions: 120kW and 160kW. The former delivers a peak torque of 240N·m, while the latter boasts a peak torque of 310N·m. Powered by Dongfeng Zhixin Technology's latest drivetrain technology, the 160kW electric drive system achieves a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.

The new vehicle is equipped with a CIR modular integrated battery system, which, through specialized research and development in energy density, volume utilization, and assembly efficiency, effectively enhances the vehicle's range. The official range for the CLTC models with different battery capacities is 445km and 520km respectively under combined driving conditions. Under normal temperature conditions and SOC, the battery can be fast-charged from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes.
